What is a business card?

According to the country's customs laws, a business card is a license that its holder, whether a natural or legal person, can use to conduct business in the field of import and export of goods. In Iran, only businessmen who have a business card can operate in import and export. This card is issued by the branches of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines of Iran in Tehran or the cities in the names of applicants who qualify. Issuance of a business card is subject to the businessmen having registered their institution or company in the commercial registry. Businessmen who apply for a business card must provide the Chamber of Commerce with information about their business according to the forms printed by the Chamber of Commerce and be introduced by two members of the Chamber of Commerce. Issuance of a business card for foreign businessmen and companies is subject to a reciprocal transaction, that is, foreign businessmen are issued a business card if their country also allows Iranian businessmen to conduct business. The validity period of the business card is from one to five years, depending on the applicant's request, and is valid if approved by the Ministry of Commerce. The uses of a business card include: Imports from free zones, export of all permitted commercial goods, issuance of a business visa, issuance of a certificate of origin, membership in the Chamber of Commerce, communication with foreign traders, exchange of commercial information worldwide, participation in national and international exhibitions, domestic and foreign, undertaking the export and import of goods commercially, undertaking work fees at customs, registration of orders and clearance of goods The conditions for issuing a business card are as follows: -Having Iranian citizenship (in the case of a natural person) -A certificate of termination of service or exemption from service -Having a valid bank account -Having no bankruptcy record -Having no criminal conviction -Having three years of experience in commercial or manufacturing activities that has been confirmed by two business card holders -Providing a university degree -Having a legal workplace appropriate to the activity -Having a production license from a Tweed Ministry -Providing a declaration Registration Types of business cards: 1- Commercial business card According to the definition of the customs, a business card is a license that its holder, whether a natural person or a legal entity, can use to trade in the field of import and export of goods. This business includes everything from registering orders and clearing goods to importing from free zones, customs fees, and exporting authorized goods. 2- Service business card A service business card is issued to legal entities that have an investment license with a service activity. It is clear that holders of this card can only import goods in their field of activity. 3- Case business card This card is issued only to natural persons and legal entities who want to clear their goods for one time. 4- Manufacturing/Industrial Business Card This type of card is issued to legal entities that have an investment license in the field of manufacturing activities. Holders of this card can only import workshop equipment and raw materials needed for their production and export them after production.
